1.What is breast cancer?

Breast cancer (BC) is the heterogenous carcinoma of cells lining the lobules or ducts of the mammary glands and the expression of certain genes can regulate BC progression. BC cell motility is one of the key traits of individual tumor cells. The primary clinical cause of BC morbidity accounts to metastasis. Metastasis is the migration of tumor cells from the site of origin to different locations of the body resulting in new tumor colonies that result in deaths. The main sites of BC metastasis include the lungs, liver, bone and brain.
